The Big Reveal

Hey, guys. Haven't been doing much writing lately, and truth be told am feeling somewhat glum. I don't know if I will have time to keep up the blog given the approach of the mock exams/oral exams/real exams, and I know I keep saying that, but this time it may actually - gasp! - be true.

It remains for me to thank you all for reading thus far, and hope that I'll be able to make the odd appearance between now and June. You never know.

Oh, and I had a short story of mine published in a collection fairly recently; it's available on Amazon at the moment and for the forseeable future. It also makes a great post-Christmas present, I hear.

And would that be my name listed fourth from last on the cover? I'll never tell...

Commiserations on real life getting in the way of writing and blogging. We'll miss you. Don't forget to drop by and visit us when you get a chance!
(Did you ever see this post of mine, by the way? http://www.sharp-words.co.uk/2008/10/i-wrote-this-poem-seventeen-years/)

Many congratulations on getting yourself into print though! I'm exceedingly jealous as that's my main writing goal for this year. :)
(I almost wrote something for that competition, as it happens, but didn't get organised enough in time - as usual.)
I might just have to pick up a copy of that (and review it, too).

We'll definitely miss you between those odd appearances. Congrats on the short story, that's excelent and I'll be sure to pick up a copy sometime soon. I appreciate the big reveal too ... I'll have to come up with a secret to tease my readers with for a few months :).

Because I'll see you around!! :)

I sent you an email, confirming your wonderfulness - as if such a thing were ever needed.

Go get those 'A's so you can live the dream.

The act of blogging is both a blessing and a curse. It's a blessing in that we all have a platform for sharing our thoughts, ideas and creativity, but it's a curse in that it pulls us away from the real world and we have this compulsion to keep returning to our online "friends and cohorts" to keep satisfying our souls, our egos and our brains (sometimes at the expense of real life (I'm not alone in this, right? Say "yes".)
I like to think of the blog as a kind of "monkey on my back", but I can't shake that monkey for the life of me.

I hope your monkey is tenacious, Fiendish, because we will all feel a great loss in this zoo if you don't make the odd appearance.

Well, I'll miss you too. I'll visit amazon for that book..wow..I'm excited. Good luck on your exams. Don't get too serious about it. The more relaxed you are , the more you'd be able to answer correctly. All the best.
